West Bloomfield Varsity Lady Lakers fell to Waterford Kettering 26–6 in Game 1 of Thursday’s doubleheader. The Lady Lakers showed early offense in the bottom of the first inning when Joy Jones homered to center field - OVER the Swamp - driving in two runs, and Jaslyn Dubose added a two-run double to keep West Bloomfield within striking distance. Waterford Kettering responded with a strong offensive performance, putting together multiple high-scoring innings to pull away. Kettering tallied five runs in the second inning and added nine more in the third, capitalizing on timely hitting throughout the game. Jaelynn Randolph started in the circle for West Bloomfield, while the Lady Lakers continued to battle at the plate despite the deficit.
