Kaela played Girls Basketball for 4 years at WBHS, primarily as a forward and center. Her favorite memory as a Laker was the team winning against Groves this year, because it really showed our team growth and connection throughout the whole game. It really gave us a great example of how to come together as a team in the last few minutes of the game even when things started to turn around. Next year, Kaela plans to attend Morgan State University and major in Business Administration and or Sports Administration. What she will miss most about WBHS and athletics is the team talks and laughs we’ve shared throughout her four years. She has to say this was her favorite team because we all had one goal and even though we didn’t make it, we still grew throughout the duration of the season and our connection continued to grow. Being a part of this program has meant a lot to her and has helped shape who she is today. Congratulations Kaela! Go Lakers!!!
