Our next Senior Scholar Athlete Spotlight is on Mariah Lang. Mariah has been on the Pom/Dance team at WBHS for 3 years, while serving as a captain and being recognized twice as an All Star Dancer. Her favorite memory as a Laker was competing in this year's Pistons Dance Classic, alongside my amazing team under the direction of the best coach, coach Kelley. Feeling the energy, discipline, and cohesiveness we built together will always remain a memorable moment in my life. Next year, Mariah will attend the University of Michigan and major in Industrial Engineering. She wants to continue to grow as a leader while pursuing her passion for problem solving and innovation. Mariah will miss the bond she shared with her teammates, the support from her coach, and the pride of representing West Bloomfield High School every time they performed. Being of this program has shaped her confidence, work ethic, and who she is today. Congratulations Mariah! Go Lakers!!
