The boys and girls track & field teams competed in the April Showers Invitational this past Saturday (4/18/26). The meet was held at Creekside Intermediate School (Dexter, MI.). The boys had several outstanding performances, as they medaled in 8 events, and were highlighted by the 2nd place, 3200m relay team (Elijah Sherrod-Watkins, Sebastian Roncier, Luis Holowinski & Musa Kay). The girls also had very strong performances, as they medaled in 9 events, and were highlighted by Kamryn Tatum’s 1st place finish in the 400m dash. Kamryn ran a time of 54.93, which is an early state qualifying time. Your “LAKERS OF THE MEET” are: Boys: Alex Kemp / Alex placed 6th in both the 110m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. He also ran PB's “personal bests” in both events. Girls: Mharei Sampson / Mharei placed second in the 100m dash with a new PB. She also ran on the 4th place, 400m relay (4 x 100m) team.
