On Wednesday, the Lakers traveled to Hartland High School to compete in the MHSAA Team Regional tournament after winning Team Districts the week before. West Bloomfield drew Hartland, the No. 2 team in the state, as their semifinal-round opponent. The Lakers battled hard, but were outmatched by Eagles. The home team defeated the Lakers 76-6, and then went on to defeat No. 4 Clarkston in dominant fashion (52-18) to claim the Team Regional title. Next up for the Lakers: The boys will compete at the MHSAA Individual Regional held at Clarkston High School on Saturday 2/21, and the girls will compete at the MHSAA Regional held at Warren Mott High School on Sun 2/22.
