5 Wrestlers Qualify for Individual Regionals On Saturday and Sunday, the Laker wrestlers competed in their respective boys' and girls' MHSAA District Championship tournaments. The competition was fierce and anyone who finished in the top 4 of their weight class advanced to Individual Regionals. Five Laker wrestlers achieved this feat, one of whom finished the day as District Champion! Congratulations to the following Lakers: ● Eva Zimnicki: District Champion ● Christian Zimnicki: 2nd place ● Christian Ausi: 3rd place ● Leath Hadeed: 3rd place ● Ryan Hill: 4th place Next up for the Lakers: The team will compete at Team Regionals this Wed, 2/18 at 5:00pm at Hartland High School after winning Team Districts. Then Individual Regionals will be Saturday 2/21 for the boys and Sunday 2/22 for the girls. Go Lakers!
